Lady Vols wipe out Stetson in tourney

Tennessee emptied its bench in the first half and overwhelmed Stetson with their size and depth to seize a 99-34 first round win in the NCAA Tournament. The players pointed out their deficiencies – need to start faster and shoot better from the free throw line – but there wasn't much else to complain about in a game in which 13 Lady Vols scored.

Four players reached double digits for Tennessee, 32-2, in the demolition of Stetson, 20-13, but it was the two points scored by Briana Bass that caused the biggest eruption from the bench and crowd of 7,948 at Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday.
