Beneath Washington's name is the notation: ''Big receiver presents matchup nightmares.''
A chiseled 6-3, 220-pounder with 4.4 speed over 40 yards, Washington probably would've been a top-five pick if not for a neck injury last October that caused his draft stock to drop a bit.
Kiper, who is part of the ESPN announcing crew that will televise and analyze the draft -- scheduled Saturday and Sunday -- lists his top 25 draft picks in order on the espn.com website. He calls the list ''Mel's Big Board.''
His top seven picks, in order, are:
1. Southern Cal quarterback Carson Palmer
2. Michigan State receiver Charles Rogers
3. Marshall quarterback Byron Leftwich
4. Kentucky defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson
5. Kansas State cornerback Terence Newman
6. Arizona State defensive end Terrell Suggs
7. Miami receiver Andre Johnson
Oddly enough, four of Kiper's top seven picks -- Rogers, Robertson, Suggs and Johnson -- are juniors.
