Croom visits Rocky Top today
One of Georgia's top high school prospects journeyed north today and took an unofficial visit to the University of Tennessee. Four star wide out Jason Croom of Norcross Georgia enjoyed his Rocky Top experience. "I liked it a lot at Tennessee," Croom told InsideTennessee.com. "It was a great trip, I learned a lot about the Vols today." One thing the talented wide out learned was that the Vols have one of the top graduation rates. "Their graduation rate definitely caught my attention," Croom said. "I will definitely take another visit to Tennessee in the future." The 6-foot-4, 221-pound athlete confirmed that he is being recruited by the Vols as a wide receiver. He recently ran a 4.52 forty and his personal best is a 4.4. Tennessee wide receiver Coach Charlie Baggett left a good impression with the Georgia native. "He is a great coach," Croom said. "He has coached two of my favorite wide receivers in Randy Moss and Chris Carter. He is very easy to talk to, very impressive coach." While Tennessee made a big impression on him, Croom declined to name a top five favorite. "Right now I don't have a top five," Croom said. "I'm looking at a lot of different schools, I definitely plan on coming back to Tennessee for another visit."
