Tennessee sophomore Jordan McRae continued his torrid scoring with 55 points Monday night in the Rocky Top League at Bearden High Gym.

McRae made 18 of 29 shots en route to the league's high output of the season. His previous outings were 48 points, 41, 46 and 48, giving him a five-game scoring average of 47.6 points per game.

McRae's outburst helped The News-Sentinel beat Larry Smith Insurance 135-113 and secure a spot in Wednesday night's RTL title game. Skylar McBee, another UT player, drained 7 of 10 shots from 3-point range and contributed 23 points for The News-Sentinel. Vol signees Quinton Chievous (13) and Josh Richardson (8) contributed in the losing cause.

CHOICE SPINE 138, RICHARDSON CONSTRUCTION 109

Tennessee's Jeronne Maymon (22 points) and Trae Golden (19) helped Choice Spine finish regular-season play undefeated. Vol teammate Cameron Tatum scored 29 points for Richardson.

DeROYAL 115, Ralph Brown & ASSOCIATES 113

DeRoyal prevailed despite a relatively quiet night from Tennessee's Kenny Hall, who had 13 points. Vol teammate Renaldo Woolridge scored 37 for Ralph Brown.
