A few of Tennessee's football commitments have agreed to work alongside InsideTennessee.com to diary their senior seasons and final year of high school.

Nathan Peterman and his parents were among the first who volunteered to share some thoughts about the quarterback's life with our readership.

Read below to see what the Peterman family had to say after Bartram Trail (Fla.) High School beat Englewood 63-0 last week. Peterman completed 9 of 17 passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns. In their fourth straight home game, coach Darrell Sutherland's Bears (4-0) host Robert E. Lee on Friday night.

It was a rainy week here in Jacksonville so we got the chance to play in the slop this game. It was also our homecoming week, so we were excited to get back after it.

They kicked off to us to start the game and Bobby Walker had a great return and scored on literally the first play of the game. He had a great game as he scored two times in a quarter and a half before all of the starters were taken out.

The rain made things a little difficult and it showed in our play.

Even though the score was 49-0 when all the starters were taken out in the middle of the second quarter, we were not all perfect. It is always a frustrating thing to feel that you could have done better in a game, but it is just more fuel to get back after it in practice the next week.

We know we will be playing a lot tougher games as the season goes on so we will make sure we work very hard to perfect those mistakes.  Overall, it was a pretty good game for everyone on our team, even the backups, who managed to score twice in the second half to make the final score 63-0.

I'm so thankful the team is doing well and Friday was no exception! They really had their time to shine — even in the rain. I wish the starters could get more time in than ½ of a game each week… but it's good for the future of Bartram football with all the experience the underclassmen are getting. Nate's pass percentage would be even better without slippery pigskins, but this is good experience.

Again, this seems to be a wetter season than I remember in recent years, but the rain pretty much stopped at halftime when the homecoming court was paraded around. Nate was really surprised to be chosen Homecoming King. Another fun memory to treasure in a Dad's heart!

It was a fun week with the Bartram Trail Bears winning big and Nathan being chosen as Homecoming King during halftime. We are blessed to have several home games in a row and we always love the camaraderie in the stands with our BT family!

It was also great to see Bobby Walker have such an "on-fire" game as well as several other players who were able to play in the second half. We are so proud of the team and pray for continued strength and discipline as they march one step closer to their goal.

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me."
