InsideTennessee.com has confirmed that Derek Dooley has added monster junior college defensive tackle Daniel McCullers to his commitment list.

McCullers, a 6-foot-5, 340-pounder out of Georgia Military College, could be one of the Volunteers biggest snags in the 2012 recruiting class.

"(McCullers) is surprisingly nimble for as big as he is," Scout.com national analyst Scott Kennedy said. "McCullers is a space eating nose guard capable of pushing a center and guard straight backwards.

"He's not going to have the quickness to make a lot of plays laterally, but he makes it tough for defenses to go up the middle. Relatively effective in the passing game because of his good straight ahead push and long arms allow him to clog passing lanes up the middle."

McCullers, a three-star prospect according to Scout.com, could go a long way in aiding new defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri in running the 3-4 defense, which is rumored to be his preferred style of play.

This past season, the Raleigh, N.C., native totaled 37 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two sacks. He now gives the Vols 20 players this signing class.

McCullers chose Tennessee over offers from Alabama, Mississippi and Mississippi State. He is the second defensive tackle in Dooley's 2012 class joining four-star Danny O'Brien.
