The big showdown on this weekend's SEC schedule finds South Carolina visiting LSU.

The third-ranked Gamecocks are coming off an eye-popping demolition of Georgia, while the ninth-ranked Tigers are coming off an upset loss to Florida.

After a great start to the season, the InsideTennessee staff finally stumbled a bit last Saturday. Danny Parker went 3-3 on his SEC Picks and his fellow staffers went 2-4 each. Parker leads for the year at 49-8, with the rest of the staff tied at 46-11. Below are their picks for this week, with year-to-date won/loss records in parenthesis:

Alabama at Missouri: Thought the 'Dores were a tough task? HaHa! Good luck, Tigers. Alabama, 47-3.

Kentucky at Arkansas: Looks like the Razorbacks have a great chance to make it two in a row. Arkansas, 38-20.

Auburn at Ole Miss: The pressure cooker around the staff on The Plains cranks up a notch after this one. Ole Miss, 20-17.

Florida at Vanderbilt: Jeff Driskel has his best game as a Gator QB. Florida, 35-7.

South Carolina at LSU: Hard to pick against the 'Cocks given how they played against Georgia. The No. 3 defense versus No. 11. Tough one. LSU, 12-10.

Texas A&M at Louisiana Tech: Better game than many expect. Texas A&M, 31-20.

Tennessee at Miss. State: I told myself I wouldn't pick the Vols as a true underdog until they turn the corner. Did they correct the big play relinquishing during the bye? Don't know. Miss. State, 37-34.

Alabama at Missouri: Shouldn't be much of a game. The Tide is going to roll. 45-15 Alabama

Kentucky at Arkansas: Arkansas beat Auburn, so I will go with the Hogs. 33-10 Hogs

Auburn at Ole Miss: Hugh Freeze could pick up a much needed SEC win by knocking off the Tigers. 35-28 Rebels

Florida at Vanderbilt: Florida is a big surprise to me after beating LSU, look for this to be close as Florida is overlooking the Dores. 28-10 Gators

South Carolina at LSU: After LSU couldn't do anything against Florida, they have yet another challenger with South Carolina. I like the talent LSU has, but I like how well South Carolina played against Florida too. 24-21 Gamecocks

Texas A&M at Louisiana Tech: This could be a real challenge for A&M as Tech has played lights out this year. I just can't pick against the SEC. 35-17 Aggies.

Tennessee at Miss. State: Hard not to pick the Bulldogs in this one, they are undefeated and this is a late game in Starkville. The thing that sticks out to me is they haven't beat Tennessee in a long time and the Vols have won 5 in a row. 35-24 Tennessee

Randy Moore (46-11)

Alabama at Missouri: The Tide will lose one of these days but it won't be this day. Bama, 31-7

Kentucky at Arkansas: Given the status of the two head coaches, they should call this the Lame Duck Bowl. Hogs, 31-14

Auburn at Ole Miss: Gene Chizik was a great coach when he had a great quarterback (Cam Newton). Now he's a mediocre coach with a mediocre quarterback. Rebels, 24-17

Florida at Vanderbilt: The Gators are flat after upsetting LSU but not that flat. Florida, 27-10.

South Carolina at LSU: The Gamecocks aren't as good as they looked in blasting Georgia and the Tigers aren't as bad as they looked in losing to Florida. Still ... Carolina, 17-10

Texas A&M at Louisiana Tech: The Aggies need to remember they're representing the SEC now. A&M, 38-31

Tennessee at Miss. State: I'm not a homer. I just don't think beating the SEC's two worst teams (Kentucky, Auburn) qualifies MSU for a top-20 ranking. Vols, 31-24.

Alabama at Missouri: I will continue to ignore picks involving Alabama. I just won't pick against them. Tide 38-6.

Kentucky at Arkansas: Much like Alabama I ignore Kentucky, but on the opposite end of the spectrum. Arkansas 41-17.

Auburn at Ole Miss: Wow. Who would have thought this could be a swing game this week. Tough one, but I will go with the Rebels 27-20.

Florida at Vanderbilt: Closer than most might think, but I will take the Gators. 31-21.

South Carolina at LSU: South Carolina played their perfect game last week. I don't think they will play that well again, but I do like them against the Tigers. Gamecocks 31-17.

Texas A&M at Louisiana Tech: Louisiana Tech has some big-time wins thus far, on the road, but I am still going with A&M. Aggies 45-38.

Tennessee at Miss. State: The Vols have to prove it to me and they haven't yet. State 31-26.
