Illinois picked up a verbal commitment from a WR from the Sunshine State on Monday.

2013 wide receiver D.J. Taylor committed to Illinois Monday, representing the 26th verbal commitment of the current class.

A 6-foot, 170-pound prospect from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Taylor helped University School win the Florida 3A state title this season.

He held offers from Boston College, Wake Forest, Duke and others.

Wide receiver was a position of need for the Illini in this class. Taylor joins a group of pledges at the position that includes Marchie Murdock, Martize Barr and potentially Darius Mosely (listed as a corner/athlete).

We'll have more on this breaking story soon...
