5A All-State

Familiar names highlight 2012's best of the best in Colorado on offense.

Quarterback

Luke Del Rio 6-2 200 Valor Christian SR

I had Max Kuhns penciled in, but the multiple near perfect games thrown by the Alabama bound Del Rio as well as the state title put Luke over the top.

Running Back

Christian McCaffrey 6-0 195 Valor Christian JR

Colorado's most versatile player and the state's top prospect in 2014 made plays that few others could make. I was most impressed with the tough yards he gained in this year's state championship game.

Bernard McDondle 5-9 170 Columbine JR

Top big play back in the state who is poised for a monster senior campaign.

Tight End

Mitch Parsons 6-4 240 Chaparral Sr

Potentially the toughest cover in the state, he has put together two of the best seasons for a tight end in Colorado history.

Wide Receiver

Sam Martin 6-3 180 Fairview JR

Big play receiver with the ability to work the middle, he may have his best football in front of him.

Tanner Gentry 6-2 190 Grandview Sr

Tremendous combination of size and speed allowed him to make plays as needed for his Wolves.

Offensive Line

Dan Skipper 6-10 295 Ralston Valley Sr

The giant tackle is the heart of the Ralston Valley run game with his ability to pull and make blocks. Currently being courted by some of the nation's top BCS schools.

Jake Bennett 6-3 275 Bear Creek SR

Old school lineman might be the most rugged player on this list. Bennett is taking his gritty interior play to Colorado State.

Matt Bardem 6-3 260 Cherokee Trail SR

Underrated lineman that was key to the Cougar's great run this season.

Sam Jones 6-5 270 ThunderRidge JR

Nasty run blocker with the ability to get to blocks at the second level of the D.

Blake Nowland 6-6 305 Douglas County SR

Giant tackle is another player that will move his game to Colorado State.
