In Texas A&M's first ever SEC basketball game, the Aggies routed Arkansas 69-51 on Wednesday night at Reed Arena.
Texas A&M (11-3, 1-0 SEC) took control with a 15-0 run that began late in the first half and extended into the second.
The Aggies were led by Kourtney Roberson's double-double (13 points, 12 rebounds), Fabyon Harris' 17 points, and Elston Turner's 15 points and 8 rebounds.
B.J. Young had 13 points for Arkansas (9-5, 0-1), which had a five-game winning streak snapped. The Razorbacks dropped to 0-4 on the road.
This was the first conference game between the Aggies and the Razorbacks since 1991, when both schools belonged to the now-defunct Southwest Conference.
This was by far the best performance this season by the Aggie mens basketball team, and both the players and the coaches are to be congratulated.
