This 6-foot-3, 180-pounder from Matthews, N.C., projects to compete for Tennessee's quarterback job now that three-year starter Tyler Bray has opted for the NFL Draft.

Rated a three-star prospect by FOX Sports NEXT, Riley Ferguson led Butler High School to state titles as a sophomore in 2010 and as a senior in 2012. He was voted the title game's Most Valuable Player in 2012 after passing for 301 yards and an eye-popping five touchdowns. His senior statistics showed 2,175 passing yards and 25 touchdowns in just nine games. He was even more productive as a junior, completing 66 percent (184 of 279) of his attempts for 3,345 yards and 48 touchdowns. That came on the heels of a sophomore season which saw him throw for 2,600 yards and 21 TDs. Ferguson competed in the prestigious Elite 11 Finals in Redondo Beach, Cal., and was nominated for the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He will compete with two returning quarterbacks, junior Justin Worley and redshirt freshman Nathan Peterman for Tennessee's starting QB job in 2013.
