Three-star cornerback Stanton Truitt had already been on campus two times this spring, but he wanted to get another look Saturday afternoon for the Dish Network Orange & White game.

What he saw, even after two other visits, was above and beyond anything he could have expected. A crowd of 61,000-plus poured into Neyland Stadium and left a lasting impression on the Monroe, Ga., native.

"The fan base was just amazing," he said. "It was amazing to see everyone really hype. Everyone there was in to it and there was never a dull moment. That really showed a lot about the fans and how pumped up they are."

The No. 73 corner in the 2014 class according to FOX Sports NEXT, Truitt is being recruiting by wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni, who continues to make a strong bond with the rising senior.

"They are my No. 1. Coach (Butch) Jones sets them apart."

"I got a chance to spend some time with Coach Z and a lot of the other coaches," he said. "It was pretty fun just growing a better bond. I have been talking to them a lot and just getting to know each other better is a great thing."

Truitt takes the snaps for Monroe (Ga.) High School and finished his junior season with 2,458 total yards and 19 touchdowns. After his visit he said the Vols have set themselves apart from others like West Virginia, Nebraska and Cal using one tool — the head coach.

"Tennessee is definitely my top school right now," Truitt said. "They are my No. 1. Coach Jones really sets them apart. I am not just going to single out coach Jones, all the coaches are great, but it is different talking to the head coach.

"Coach Jones is a very passionate guy and trying to get everything going in the right direction. It is just so rare. I have a great bond with Coach Jones and I really talk to him a lot."

A 5-foot-10, 185-pounder, Truitt has 4.39 40-yard-dash speed and said that several Tennessee commitments talked to him throughout Saturday's festivities about joining the class. .

"The commitments there are really into it," he said. "They are really passionate about getting the best guys in their class. They are trying to really get thing started when they get there. They are good guys."
