That's why offensive line prospect Lou Eliades of Ocean Township High School
in Oakhurst, N.J., already has scholarship offers from 21 schools, including
Tennessee. In the past month he's fielded offers from the Vols, Virginia,
West Virginia, Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas, Temple, Connecticut,
and verbal offers from Duke, Penn State and Notre Dame.
These schools join a bandwagon that already included Miami, Syracuse,
Michigan State, Rutgers, Indiana, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia Tech,
Vanderbilt and Boston College.
Eliades just returned from the Virginia camp. He plans to attend Virginia
Tech's camp July 9th, then visit Connecticut and revisit Syracuse before the
summer ends.
An All-Monmouth County pick as a junior last fall, Eliades would be a nice
get for a Tennessee squad that projects to lose Cody Douglas, Albert Toeaina
and Richie Gandy off the 2005 O-line, plus Arron Sears, Rob Smith and David Ligon off the 2006 line.
