Brooks gets NC duo

Tennessee football aide Dan Brooks coaches exclusively defensive tackles but he apparently excels at recruiting for all positions. He landed two North Carolinians over the weekend -- a running back and a safety prospect.

The safety is Alonzo Winfield (Carver High of Winston-Salem). The running back is Daryl Vereen (North Mecklenburg High of Charlotte). Both guys are in the 6-foot, 195-pound range and both committed to Brooks during Tennessee's Senior Camp on Saturday. Winfield reportedly covers 40 yards in...
