Wilhoit, Coker honored

Tennessee placekicker James Wilhoit and tailback LaMarcus Coker were among this week's honorees for SEC Players of the Week. Wilhoit was the special teams selection, while Coker earned the league's freshman nod.

James Wilhoit contributed 11 points to Saturday's win at Memphis, kicking two field goals and five extra points. The Hendersonville product also had five touchbacks on seven kickoffs, improving his season mark to 58.1 percent (18-of-31). Wilhoit has made 6-of-7 field goal attempts this season and 17-of-19 dating to last year. He also is 3-of-4 on field goals from 45 yards and longer, including a 49-yarder Saturday. Wilhoit is the SEC's active scoring leader with 267 points.

LaMarcus Coker made his first collegiate start a successful one, rushing 26 times for 125 yards in Tennessee's 41-7 win at Memphis. The Antioch native set a personal game high for rushing attempts and now owns back-to-back 100-yard games. Coker leads the Vols and ranks sixth in the SEC with 324 rushing yards and a 64.8-yard per game average. He also is averaging 7.2 yards per rushing attempt.

VOL NETWORK 'PTS STADIUMCAST' IN ATHENS Tennessee fans attending Saturday's game versus Georgia in Athens can listen to the game on the "PTS Vol Network StadiumCast" at 89.7 on the FM dial.

Fans can listen by bringing a portable radio to the game. Vol Network programming begins Saturday with the "Kickoff Call In-Show" at 10:30 a.m. Easterm/9:30 Central. The "PTS Vol Network StadiumCast" is presented at all UT away games by PTS Office Automation, the preferred copier dealer of the Vol Network.
