Dynamic duo

Perhaps the two most dynamic players on Tennessee's football team – redshirt freshman linebacker Rico McCoy and redshirt freshman tailback LaMarcus Coker – have lapsed into obscurity in recent weeks. That may be about to change, however.

McCoy is stuck behind sophomore Jerod Mayo, who is probably playing better than any linebacker in the Southeastern Conference thus far. In the Vols' first eight games Mayo has been named National Player of the Week (vs. Cal) and SEC Player of the Week (vs. Alabama).
