Posted Nov 12, 2007

The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that Tennessee’s Nov. 24 visit to Kentucky is being televised as part of a CBS doubleheader and kicks off at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time. This marks the Vols’ third CBS appearance and fifth nationally televised game of 2007.

Tennessee leads the series against the Wildcats 70-23-9, having captured the last 22 meetings as owners of the longest active winning streak over an opponent in major college football. Tennessee’s 70 wins against Kentucky are its most over any one school.

Other SEC televised games over the Thanksgiving weekend involve two Friday contests and five on Saturday. Friday’s schedule has Ole Miss at Mississippi State on Lincoln Financial (11:30 a.m. Central) and Arkansas at LSU on CBS (1:30 p.m. Central). Saturday’s slate after the UT-Kentucky game has Georgia at Georgia Tech on ABC (3:30 p.m. Eastern), Florida State at Florida in the second game of the CBS doubleheader (5 p.m. Eastern), Clemson at South Carolina on ESPN2 (7 p.m. Eastern) and Alabama at Auburn on ESPN (7 p.m. Central).
