UT-Miss. State on pay-per-view

Posted Oct 6, 2008

Tennessee athletics director Mike Hamilton announced Monday that the Oct. 18 home football game against Mississippi State is kicking off at 7 p.m. Eastern time, with VideoSeat carrying the pay-per-view telecast.

UT leads the series against Mississippi State 27-15-1, having won five consecutive games and eight of the last nine dating to 1987. Before that the Bulldogs put together a three-game winning streak of their own, capped by their last win (27-23) at Neyland Stadium in 1986. Tennessee claimed a 33-21 decision one year ago in Starkville.

The Southeastern Conference reported that all other football television selections for Oct. 18 have been delayed until Tuesday. The three games being held for selection by CBS, ESPN and Raycom are Ole Miss at Alabama, Vanderbilt at Georgia and LSU at South Carolina.
