Tennessee wide receiver Gerald Jones earned SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after compiling 135 all-purpose yards in Saturday?s 28-10 win over Kentucky.

Jones led the Vols with 67 rushing yards on just five attempts, led the team with three receptions for 15 yards and added returns totaling another 53 yards and in UT?s 24th consecutive victory over the Wildcats.

The Oklahoma City sophomore took a direct snap from quarterback five times, including a fourth-quarter sprint of 55 yards that was Tennessee's longest rushing play of the season. He followed that up three plays later with a 2-yard touchdown run that capped UT's scoring. Jones added a 39-yard kickoff return and 14-yard punt return to complete a balanced night.

Jones is the third Vols player to win SEC weekly honors this season, following Chris Scott and Eric Berry (twice).

Other SEC honorees this week were Florida's Tim Tebow (offense) and Carlos Dunlap (defensive line), Mississippi's Peria Jerry (defense), Alabama's Antoine Caldwell (offensive line) and Arkansas' Dennis Johnson (freshman).
