There are a few notes going into this weekend that circulate around the Tennessee football teams. One player will participate in an all-star game and a few Vols underwent corrective procedures.

Tennessee senior defensive end Omari Hand will suit up Saturday for the East side of the East-West Shrine Bowl game in San Francisco.

Tennessee seniors Julian Battle, Rashad Moore and Will Ofenheulse will all participate in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, on January 18. Eddie Moore is scheduled to play in the Hula Bowl in February, but a knee surgeury could prevent his chance of playing.

Five returning Tennesee players have underwent corrective surgeries and three of them, possibly four, will not be available to participate in spring practice.

Rashad Baker, Victor McClure and Jason Respert all had reconstructive surgeries. Trainer Keith Clements says he expects all three to be ready for two-a-day drills in August.

Michael Munoz and Kevin Simon underwent arthroscopic procedures and could be ready for spring drills. Simon will depend on his rehab from the broken ankle that he originally sustained vs. Rutgers in September.
