One Tennessee High School prospect grew up wearing Orange and White and cheering for his home state Volunteers.

Cameron Clemmons father played for the University of Tennessee in the late 80’s and the young Clemmons has high hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps.

“There is no doubt I would love to play at the University of Tennessee,” Clemmons said. “I grew up cheering for them, there is only one color allowed in our house, and that’s Orange.”

Clemmons, a 6-foot-7, 260-pound athlete from Lebanon Tennessee, participated in the Lane Kiffins first offensive/defensive linemen camp this past Monday.

“It went really well,” Clemmons told InsideTennessee.com “I expected there to be a lot of competition there, but I was shocked by what actually was there. Every athlete that we went up against was a great athlete. I didn’t expect this many great players to be at their first camp.”

Did Clemmons receive an offer after his camp performance?

“No they told me that they would call me back in a couple of weeks and let me know something after they evaluate all of my film,” Clemmons said. “I think I’m close to an offer, I sure hope I am.”

Clemmons currently holds offers from Western Kentucky and Stanford.

Clemmons is definitely impressed with how the new coaching staff put their players through the paces.

“I went to a couple of spring practices, I love the intensity of their practices, they brought that same intensity to camp,” Clemmons explained. “I really love being coached that way. They love bringing out the best in each of their players.”

Clemmons has enjoyed going to Volunteer games all his life.

“UT Football is away of life for our family,” Clemmons said. “It’s always been a dream to play for the Big Orange, hopefully I will get that opportunity.”
