One Tennessee High School prospect knows a lot about the Volunteer Football program.

Growing up less than 25 miles from Neyland Stadium, Tyler Robinson of Alcoa has been going to UT games his entire life.

He has often envisioned himself running out of the tunnel, running through the T, now the talented athlete is waiting to see if his dream of being a Vol will come true.

"It was be absolutely crazy to run through the T with 110, 000 fans yelling for me," Robinson told InsideTennessee.com Tuesday. "My parents have had season tickets for as long as I can remember, we don't ever miss a game."

Robinson, a 6-foot-4, 260-pound athlete who runs a 4.8 forty, plays tight end and defensive end for his high school team. He is expected to play somewhere on the offensive line at the college level. He already holds three official offers from Virginia Tech, Kentucky and Tennessee State.

Robinson attended two different camps at UT this summer in hopes of getting to know the new coaching staff a little better. It apparently it worked.

"I got to spend a lot of time with the entire coaching staff," Robinson said. "Some of the coaches worked with me one on one and taught me a lot. I went one time as a tight end and the other camp as an offensive lineman. They all said I did really well."

Does Robinson have an offer from Tennessee currently?

"Not yet," Robinson said. "It feels like one might be coming. I really hope it is. It would be a dream come true."

While many might think that Robinson would instantly become a Vol if he was to receive an offer, the decision might take a little longer than expected.

"There is no doubt I have always wanted to play for the University of Tennessee," Robinson said. "I'm going to camp at Virginia Tech on July 12 to see what it's like, then I would make a decision pretty quick after that visit."

Robinson has been impressed by the new coaching staff's fire and excitement about the program.

"As a life time fan of the program it's great to see the coaches up close," Robinson said. "You can tell they are so fired up about getting this program turned around. How much they love being here and how driven they are to return UT to National Championship contenders. That's truly exciting. They are all great guys and great coaches."

Now the question will be will Robinson end up playing in Orange and White? For a young man that claims to bleed orange, he is hoping that Rocky Top will continue to be home sweet home.
