Tennessee's three remaining opponents were involved in three ugly games over the weekend - two of them winning big and one losing big.

Ole Miss won big vs. Northern Arizona and Kentucky won big vs. Eastern Kentucky. Vanderbilt played tough for awhile before faltering against top-ranked Florida

Here's a recap:

- Ole Miss (Saturday in Oxford). The Rebels (6-3, 2-3) had the next-best thing to an open date as they prepared for Tennessee, routing Football Championship Subdivision foe Northern Arizona 38-14. The Rebels essentially gave do-all Dexter McCluster the day off, so he'll be 100 percent healthy for the Vol invasion. With McCluster getting zero touches, Jevan Snead and wideout Shay Hodge did the heavy lifting. Snead completed 16 of 29 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Hodge caught 7 balls for 169 yards, including both of the TD throws.

- Vanderbilt (Nov. 21 in Knoxville). The Commodores (2-8, 0-6) gave top-ranked Florida some trouble before bowing 27-3 in Gainesville. Vandy trailed just 13-3 until Tim Tebow scored on a one-yard keeper with 1:52 left in the third quarter. The Gators added a gift TD in the fourth quarter on a short-field drive after Vandy's punter went to one knee fielding a low snap. Mackenzi Adams, making his first start of the season at quarterback, completed 13 of 29 passes for 100 yards.

- Kentucky (Nov. 28 in Lexington). The Wildcats (5-4, 1-4) finished off a 4-0 non-conference slate by routing Eastern Kentucky 37-12. True freshman quarterback Morgan Newton completed 20 of 29 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns. The Big Blue played without leading rusher Derrick Locke and leading receiver Randall Cobb, both nursing injuries. UK's Donald Russell rushed three times for 92 yards - an average of 30.7 per carry - with a 79-yard TD burst on his first carry.
