Some Tennessee fans will be surprised to learn that the numbers posted in Jim Chaney's first year as offensive coordinator (2009) are eerily similar to those posted by David Cutcliffe in his final year filling that role (2007).

That's noteworthy, since the '07 Vols had a four-year starter (Erik Ainge) at quarterback, whereas the '09 Vols had a QB who entered the season with just seven career starts (Jonathan Crompton).
