Georgia running back waiting on UT offer

Georgia running back waiting on UT offer

Tennessee is showing interest in one of Georgia's top running backs. With no offer in hand from the Vols will Rajaan Bennett take an official visit to Rocky Top? We have those answers and more in this Free Read for all Volunteer Fans.

With two SEC offers already, one Georgia running back is playing the waiting game to see what else happens in the near future.

Tennessee's Lane Kiffin recently made an appearance at Rajaan Bennett's McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga., and it appears that the Volunteers may be making a move for the Georgia standout athlete.

Bennett, who has offers already from Western Kentucky, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Boston College, East Carolina, Minnesota, Louisville and Troy, seemed to be impressed by the attention he is receiving by UT.

"Right now they don't have an offer on the table for me," Bennett said. "If Tennessee was to offer they would be instantly in my top three, right now they aren't one of my favorites."

One thing that impressed Bennett about Kiffin and Tennessee was the fact the head coach himself evaluated his film at the school.

"Coach Kiffin actually studied my film," Bennett said. "I haven't seen that from any other coach, must less a head coach."

Bennett, a 5-foot-10, 205-pound back who has 4.5 speed, finished off his junior season with over 1,850 yards and 29 touchdowns.

The talented runner is hoping to take an official visit to Knoxville, but only if he receives an official offer.

"I'm waiting on that offer," Bennett said. "I want to make sure they really want me and not just talking to me. That will make a big difference for me."

Bennett thinks that Kiffin's pro style offense is a perfect fit for his skill set.

"I love their offense," Bennett said. "It's a perfect fit for me. I'm definitely hoping that they offer me."
