Chism is SEC Player of Week

Tennessee's Wayne Chism was named SEC Player of the Week after he averaged 13.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals in wins over Georgia and at South Carolina.

In Tennessee's win over Georgia on Tuesday, the 6-9, 246-pound senior scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Vols are undefeated this season when Chism logs a double-double. Chism then totaled 11 points and nine rebounds as UT defeated South Carolina on the road on Saturday. His final rebound aganist the Gamecocks was the 850th of his career which ranks seventh all-time at UT.

Kentucky's DeMarcus Cousins was named SEC Freshman of the Week after averaging 19.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in wins at Mississippi State and at No. 17 Vanderbilt.

He recorded his 16th double-double of the season at Mississippi State with 19 points while pulling down game-high 14 rebounds. Against Vanderbilt he scored 19 points to go with five rebounds and three steals. Cousins has scored in double-figures in 18 of his last 19 games.
