It's no secret that the Vols need as many linebackers that they can find. Tennessee's coaching staff offered Georgia linebacker Christian Harris last week, they received good news Saturday evening that he decided to commit early to the Vols.

Harris, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound athlete, attended Tennessee's Junior Day last month and came away impressed with Rocky Top.

"It was great," Harris told InsideTennessee.com Saturday night. "I got a chance to get to know the new coaching staff and what they are all about."

According to Harris, he was truly impressed with the campus and facilities.

"It's one of the prettiest campuses I have seen," Harris said. "Great facilities, great coaches. Tennessee is a great opportunity for me. It's my goal to win a national championship, I can accomplish that at UT."

Being close to home was another deciding factor. Harris received his official offer earlier this week and didn't take long in making a final decision.

"It's just too good of an opportunity to pass up," Harris said. "I really like the coaching staff. It's close to home and it's a great school with a great tradition."
