One of Florida’s top offensive linemen was pleased to learn that he had picked up his 20th offer overall last Friday when the University of Tennessee extended an offer.
Tarpon Springs offensive tackle Zach DeBell was extremely happy to get an offer from the Volunteers.
“I said Tennessee, holy crap,” DeBell told InsideTennessee.com “That’s a big offer for me.”
DeBell has 20 offers including schools such as Clemson, Georgia, NC State, Iowa State, Missouri, Rutgers, Michigan, Purdue, Louisville, Minnesota, South Carolina and UCLA to name a few.
DeBell, a left tackle, measures in at 6-foot-7 and 265-pounds. He is rated as a three-star prospect by Scout.com.
“Tennessee is definitely in my top five,” DeBell said. “I’m planning on taking a trip to Knoxville this summer."
Does DeBell have a timeframe on making a final decision?
“Right now I think I will make a decision midway through my senior season,” DeBell said. “I want to make sure I’m making the right decision; it’s something I won’t rush.”
One thing that impresses DeBell about Tennessee is the Volunteer fan base.
“The idea of 109,000 fans cheering for me is crazy,” DeBell said. “I hear it’s a crazy and exciting environment.”
