One Florida high school prospect loves being around Power Ts.
Zack DeBell plays at Tarpon Springs High School with a home of its own power T. It appears that both Ts are similar and that gave DeBell home appeal at Rocky Top.
“Seeing the Ts everywhere made me feel at home,” DeBell told InsideTennessee.com Monday morning. “I really liked it a lot; everything is really big at Tennessee.”
DeBell appears to be impressed with several things at the University of Tennessee, ranging from the new facility plans to the eye-catching females on campus.
“I’m definitely impressed,” DeBell said with a laugh. “There are definitely a lot of pretty Southern women that go to school there. Everyone was so nice, it’s a great atmosphere.”
DeBell was also impressed with the academic support system that is set up for the student-athletes.
“I got a tour of all the academic facilities, they are as impressive as all the other facilities on campus,” DeBell said. “Everything is new there and they continue to build new stuff.”
DeBell got the opportunity to build relationships with Coaches Darin Hinshaw, Harry Hiestand and Derek Dooley.
“I really like the coaching staff a lot,” DeBell said. “They are down to earth and easy to talk to.”
Does DeBell have plans on committing to any school in the near future?
“I know I want to take another unofficial trip to Knoxville,” DeBell said. “I want to spend a day with a few of the football players and see what their day is like. To go and check out the night life and get a good feel for everything at Tennessee.”
Does the standout lineman have an early favorite?
“The schools that stand out to me the most right now are Tennessee, Georgia, Ole Miss and Clemson,” DeBell said. “Tennessee definitely helped out its chances with me with this past visit. It was a great one.”
