Seymour, a 5-7, 188-pounder who describes his running style as "explosive," rushed for 1,576 yards and averaged better than 12 yards per carry for Hialeah (Fla.) High School last fall. He also excels as a kickoff return man.
Voted first-team All-Dade County and honorable mention all-state as a junior, he says he already has scholarship offers from Tennessee, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Kansas State, Marshall, Memphis and Florida International.
Asked if he has added or scratched any teams from consideration in the weeks since he last spoke with InsideTennessee, Seymour replied: "No. Everybody's still on my list. I'm keeping my list wide open right now."
Tennessee seems keenly interested in Seymour. The prospect says he spoke by phone with Derek Dooley in May and that the Vol coach said "he'd love to have me up there at Tennessee, that I'd be a great fit."
The speedster seems eager to meet the Vol head man in person and check out the assistants, noting that: "He's a nice guy. I want to meet him and the rest of the coaches."
Although he says he wants UT to be "one of my first official visits," Seymour added that he has scheduled none of his five visits at this time.
"Right now," he said, "I'm just working out, going to camps, and that's pretty much it."
