Chalk one up for persistence and determination.
While the UT head coach questioned the slowness of the NCAA Clearinghouse last week, even stating it was Happy Hour somewhere, it's now obvious Tuesday's Happy Hour is at the University of Tennessee and for all of Vol Nation.
The UT Sports Information Department confirmed shortly after lunch Tuesday that Justin Hunter has been cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse and will indeed return to the practice field Tuesday afternoon for the Volunteer football team.
Derek Dooley, who felt helpless on Friday afternoon about the situation, apparently will be relieved by the good news received Tuesday morning.
Both Hunter and Hunter's mother, Gloria, made posts on Facebook about him being cleared. Hunter posted about three hours ago: "Guess who is now cleared by the NCAA."
Hunter, a freshman wideout, made a big impression on the Vol coaching staff during fall camp and even with his clearance issues was listed as the No. 2 receiver on the depth chart that was released at Dooley's press conference Monday morning.
