| Primarily a defensive tackle in the past, Pope projects on the offensive line and has great intensity and toughness, that the transition shouldn't be too difficult for him. Will need to improve his pass protection, as University doesn't throw as much. |

Partial senior stats: Cathedral Catholic is in the playoffs with an 8-3 record. Pope plays on both sides of the ball and credits himself with 75 pancake blocks. On defense he has 78 tackles, nine sacks, four fumbles caused and two fumbles recovered.
Pope reports a 2.5 GPA/1460 SAT (new version) on retake. Originally scored 1090 SAT (new version).
Pope: "I'm listed as a defensive end, but a lot of programs see me as an offensive guard. On the other hand, a lot of other colleges say they'd love to see me playing defensive end. When I get to college I see myself more as an offensive guard or an offensive tackle. |
