| Offering solid size/speed numbers, Smith elevated his game and consistency as a senior. Potentially a fourth receiver at the next level who shows some run-after-the-catch ability. |
| Biography: |
Spent significant time with the first team as a senior after being
used as a reserve his initial three years in the program. Posted
career-best totals of 39/453/5 last season after 21/223/3 the prior
year.
Pos:
Well-rounded receiver best suited to play in a West Coast offense.
Quickly releases off the line, displays sharpness running routes and
gets separation from opponents. Slides back into the open space of the
defense to make himself an available target and uses his frame to
shield away opponents. Gets vertical and pulls the pass from the air.
Adjusts for the errant throw and wins out in battles. Quickly
transitions from making the reception to running after the catch.
Neg:
Lacks the second gear or top-end speed. Must improve his blocking.
