Tennessee’s defensive staff liked the intensity, energy and mobility Hughes brings to the position. He needs to add size and strength, but has the frame to add weight without losing speed.
A versatile athlete, Hughes averages double figures in scoring and rebounding for Siegel High School. He played in the same league as Tennessee commitment Rodriguez Wilks who was named Class 5A Mr. Football and Region 4-5A MVP.
