| Tennessee’s top returning pass-catcher, Brown lacks blazing speed but excels in the role of possession receiver. He looms as a key figure in the Vols’ passing attack. 2002 - Tied with tight end Jason Witten for the team lead with 39 catches. Produced 477 receiving yards, an average of 12.2 yards per catch. Had a long catch of 48 yards vs. Georgia. Scored his lone touchdown on a 25-yard grab on the first play of the fourth overtime vs. Arkansas. 2001 - Caught just one pass all season, that coming in Fiesta Bowl blowout of Michigan. 2000 - Back problems forced him to redshirt the season and miss 2001 spring practice. After covering him in practice, however, Vol defensive back Andre Lott described Brown as “a guy everyone needs to look out for. He reminds me of (former Kansas State star) Quincy Morgan. ... He’s going to be a great receiver.” |
