| This converted linebacker has the speed to be a force in the pass rush once he becomes more familiar with the nuances of the end position. Listed first team at left end heading into preseason drills, Neal appears to have a bright future ahead of him. 2002 - Tabbed Most Improved Defensive Player of spring practice, he started four games at end before injuries reduced him to a reserve role. Still recorded 20 tackles, 11 assists and 5.5 tackles for loss. Also registered 1.5 sacks 2001 - Missed much of spring practice with a knee injury that required surgery but recovered in time to record a couple of tackles in limited playing time as a reserve linebacker. 2000 - Redshirted. |
