He now calls Buford, Ga. home, but he wouldn't mind moving back to Ohio to attend college.
"Ohio State has offered me and it is my top school," said Picou. "I have been there and I have spent time in Columbus, but I have not been on a college visit yet to Ohio State. I am very comfortable there (Ohio), I like the area, the coaches are great, and I will be taking a visit to Ohio State. It is my No. 1 school."
While he has yet to visit Ohio State, Texas A&M, or Missouri, he has spent time in Knoxville, Tenn. He was there for one of UT's Junior Days.
"Tennessee has a lot of nice things, but what I liked the best when I was there was how they take care of their players. They go far to make sure their health is good, to make sure they get their work done, and I liked that. They really care for their players at Tennessee and I like that a lot."
More visits will be taken this summer. Picou will "definitely" visit Ohio State and he plans to visit, possibly camp at Texas A&M. Other visits are possible as well.
"It has been a blessing to get all these offers. I am up to 21 offers now and I cannot believe it."
The 6-foot-3, 267 pound defensive lineman wants to have his mind made up and to be committed by the time August rolls around.
"I am not positive when I will commit, but I want to have it done this summer," said Picou. "I could know in June, but I just hope to be committed before the season starts. I think the visits this summer will really help me.
"I will be looking at the academics at each school, that is most important to me. I want a school to look at me more than just a football player. I want to be looked at as a student first."
