Vols staff up for 'Cold Water Challenge'

Tennessee coaches did their part Saturday night to aid in the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) by taking part in the "Cold Water Challenge" after a scrimmage open to the public at Neyland Stadium on Saturday night.

The disease otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's disease attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

Here's the list of the people challenged by the Tennessee coaches:

Al Wilson by linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen

Eric Berry by defensive backs coach Willie Martinez

Cordarrelle Patterson by wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni

Bill Bates by defensive coordinator John Jancek

Ja'Wuan James by offensive line coach Don Mahoney

Jamal Lewis, Rajion Neal by running backs coach Robert Gillespie

Heath Shuler by offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian

Reggie McKenzie by defensive line coach Steve Stripling

Ben Bartholomew by strength coach Dave Lawson

Jason Witten by tight ends coach Mark Elder

Jon Gruden, Peyton Manning, Donnie Tyndall by coach Butch Jones
